The only people with whom you should try to get even are those who have helped you.

I am grateful today for the gift of being able to spend some time together as a family. I have been mad at Geoff's school, as I know I mentioned before, but since he has to sit out this rotation of his internship for 2 months, just to go to a class for one week, we have a lot more time with him. Yesterday we had what is expected to be the last "warmish" day of the year. We were able to spend time as a family - something that we have basically never had! We took the kids to the park and finally taught the kids how to ride their bikes. It feels so good to check off something from the "good parent" list. You know what I mean? I mentioned to the kids tonight that I have one down, 100,000 more things to go. No, I know it's not really like that, but I have needed Geoff to help me make the whole bike riding thing a priority, and basically this is the first time he has had with us. So, instead of complaining, I will say, Thank You, Geoff's dumb school, for giving me a little time with my hubby! It was much needed!!

I Love this little experiment of yours Emily, I really like all the quotes that you have put before each post. It is always nice to hear how you are doing and I hope everything turns out wonderful for you and Geoff with all the school stuff. Love Ya
Yay!! You played!!! There is a lot to be said about endurance. You are in an endurance marathon. It WILL end. And you will wonder how you did it. "Good things are going to start happening to you soon." (Cuz they already are!)
Love, Jane
It has obviously been way too long since I read your blog since I didn't know you were doing this. You continue to amaze me. Thank you for this opportunity for me to reflect, too. Thanks for the inspiration and the example to work on being more grateful!
