Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today is my Dad's Birthday - I won't tell you how old he is, but I am 33, and he was 23 when I was born.... and he is not turning 56! Does that make it hard for all of you who aren't good at math?! I have been blessed to have the best Dad in the whole world! I don't know how I got so lucky! I remember him taking me and a bunch of my friends toilet-papering to people's houses sometimes, and teaching us the tricks of doing it right... most people had to sneak out because their parents would get mad! He was a cool Dad. When he caught me "comparing nose lengths" with my high school boyfriend in the living room, he didn't get mad. When I totalled his car, he didn't get mad. And when I still call and talk to him for over an hour and the entire time he is just listening to me whine, he doesn't get mad! I do remember that there were some times when he did get mad, ( I hear my Mom laughing in my head right now), but overall I think he was pretty good to us! He was always a good example of righteous living to his children!

My Dad is also such a great "Papa" to all of his grandkids. They all adore him, because when he is with them he gives them his undivided attention. You can find him being a horsie with a few kids on his back, showing them his magic tricks, or taking them fishing in the lake across the street from his house. He is the grandkids favorite pal.... well, he and GRANDMA, of course! We love you, Dad! Have a SUPER Birthday!
