Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.
Yesterday a good friend called me. We consoled each other ways only other "stay at home moms" can. We laughed a lot as we talked about how we needed to hide in the closet to be able to hear each other over the phone. She is such a good friend to me and always wants to know how I am feeling. Then she listens to the answer. A little later another good friend called me. We had both planned on taking "White Chicken Chili" to the ward chili cook off that night. We had the exact same recipe and both thought we would be so original with our chili. We are alike in many, many, many ways. We laughed and laughed about how great minds think alike. Then the first friend I mentioned came and picked up the chili I had made and took it to the cook off for me since I had a sick little boy at my house and couldn't go. Then, as the night went on, I spent a couple of hours on the phone with one of my oldest friends. I have known this friend for close to 30 years now. It was so good to catch up with her. What I feel grateful for today is wonderful friends who bless my life in so many ways. It would be such a lonely life without the love of true friends. I am so grateful for all the people that have blessed my life and been my friend.
