So, one of these things is not like the other. Can you tell which one it is? We have a problem around our house with a 2 year old girl who thinks there is only ONE kind of diaper she can wear. You may assume that it is the one that is really different from the others. The problem is, these are the diapers I usually buy... but I bought Huggies (on sale, with a coupon) and from that point on, Staci will
only wear the Huggies with Mickey and Minnie Mouse
holding the balloons on it. She won't wear the Luvs anymore... and she won't wear the other Huggies. She kicks and screams and fights me. She says, "Hot doggie diaper!!" I was wondering what in the world she was saying that for. Then it dawned on me when she started singing and dancing around to a "hot dog" song. When we were down in AZ this summer we stayed a while with different family members who had the Disney Channel on TV, and she saw the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" show, and in that show they have a song that says, "hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog!" That is what she was trying to sing - and I was shocked! She has maybe seen that show a few times, but only months ago. You got to love the opinions that start to form around this age!! I will continue to fight - and sometimes I can trick her into wearing another one, but either way... she is stubborn!!

I guess you had better hope you get Staci potty trained before Huggies changes their design!
um.... i am not going to buy Huggies anymore after this box is gone. She will just have to get over it! And potty training just seems like such a pain with such a strong-willed child! Staci is a lot like Natalie was at this age... and she was a pain to potty train, too! I am going to wait until she seems ready!
She is already into "High End" things huh? :) Wow, you got your work cut out for ya. Good thing she is worth it. Maybe if you go to really bad diapers like walmart brand and then work your way back up to luvs, maybe she will take them again. Love her.
I just keep telling Lydia that she is a baby, and she is not old enough to have an opinion so she has to what I want...yeah...that doesn't work either, but it feels good for someone to say I'm in charge...even if it is myself! Good luck!!!
Haha. She's quite the opinionated child isn't she?! Wouldn't it be nice if she could just potty train herself? Then you could get her some cute underwear that she would love to wear instead of expencive diapers...I think diapers are one of the things I'm least excited about when it comes to having kids. Buying them, changing 'em, getting your kids to grow out of 'em...Just everything! Good luck Em! Love you guys!
That is awesome! Finley still wears diapers to bed and we always buy Huggies. Guess which ones she asks for every night? Yep, the balloons! :) Gotta love those little opinions.
HOW FUNNY!! That hot dog song is pretty addicting. I catch Neil singing it every once in a while...now that's FUNNY!!
Aren't kids crazy!? Lilly now three is potty trained but still wears pull ups to bed and she thinks she can only wear sleeping beauty princess ones (which are also Huggies) We just need to convince them to wear the cheaper stuff! It's always fun to read and catch up on you guys. Hope your Holidays were wonderful.
Love ya,
Lisa
