It seems like only a few weeks ago I was posting pictures of Staci after we got home from the E.R when she almost bit her tongue off.... Oh, wait... that was only a few weeks ago!! Well, tonight we were there again, because of her falling again (danged big noggin) and this time she ended up with a broken arm! Poor baby! She was NOT happy! I think she remembered being at the hospital 'cause she did not like it from the minute we got there.... of course, her arm was broken, so she wasn't happy anyway! She broke it just slightly above the elbow, and they said it was a fairly long fracture. Tonight they just put her in a splint and sling because of swelling, and tomorrow they will cast it. I watched her fall (just from the bench of a picnic table onto soft grass) but she landed on it funny and then acted like she couldn't get up. I have broken my arm enough times to notice that as a sign. My Mothers' intuition just told me it was broken. Well, there you go. I am still not sure of all the details (she sees a pediatric orthopedist tomorrow) so I'll keep you updated. Hopefully that will be the last of the visits to the E.R. for a while!!!

That is sad, she looks pretty dang cute in her sling tho!
Poor girl! That is so scary. I am glad you knew and followed your intutition. My girls find it fun to jump off of everything - I keep waiting for someting to break. I hope she is doing great with the cast!
Oh Staci!!!!!!!!! Poor thing!!! Let me know how things go with the cast and the orthopedist! Love you guys!!
Have you considered a rubber room or plastic bubble until she grows up? Poor sweetie - you are going to have some great stories to tell this one!
Love,
Mom and Dad
Poor thing. I hope it gets better fast. She is not going to like that cast at all.
Poor Baby. Poor you. Em, I think Dad's right about the rubber room thing, but then again she's probably find someway to get hurt in there too.
Oh my gosh! I can't believe she broke her arm. Poor girl! There is nothing worse than kids getting hurt, especially when they are as young as she is. As a mom I just can't take it...it breaks my heart and freaks me out. Hope everything goes OK tomorrow.
Poor baby! I know your pain. We knew Hayden took after you by breaking both his elbows 11 months apart and needing pins in both. It always reminded me of you bending your arm back funny! Now your daughter! It is always so hard to see your baby hurt! It is 3 days later. . . what's the update, what did the Ped ortho say???
Oh, I feel so bad for her! She is so cute. I hope you are feeling ok Emily. I've been thinking about you a lot lately!
Ohhhhh, poor girl! At least you have good mother's intuition--I waited 3 days before I took Brooke in to the doctor when she broke her arm the first time. Hope things go well at the orthopedist--keep us posted.
