Jackson is 7 years old today! He is such a sweet and kind kid, and we are so glad he is part of our family! We had Jackson a pirate party last Saturday and it was a lot of fun! We had 15 kids (including ours) and fed them all lunch and had a fun time playing pirate games like "pin the eye patch on the pirate" and "musical islands", and of course having a treasure hunt. I had planned several other games but we never even got to them. The kids just had fun running around and playing with swords (Jackson had enough to supply the whole group practically). It was a dream come true for Jackson to have so many friends there. It was PERFECT weather, too, which made it fun to have the party outside in our back yard! We love you, Jackson!!
Such a sweet little guy... can you believe all that hair? He was born with it!!

Looks like SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!! What a CUTE cake! Did you do that?! WOW! Totally impressed by the pictures!!!!!!! Hope he's had a WONDERFUL day! We love you guys!
Yeah, I made it... thanks. Jackson saw one like it at the grocery store and really wanted it, but they wanted $35 dollars for it. I spent about $5 on the one I made. I think the only thing that really cost anything was driving around looking for chocolate coins! It was actually pretty easy to do.
It looks like the party was fun, Evan was so sad to miss it, he kept asking when Jackson's party was, too bad. It's sad how fast they grow up!
Emily, You amaze me!!! That cake ROCKS!!!!!!!! :) I loved all the pictures of Jackson from babyhood. I remember the hair. Remember when Jackson and Emma got blessed? There were 3 boys ALL with hair and Emma bald as could be -- even Bishop Kellis commented. :) I miss you! It was soooo fun to see you. I hope it won't be as long between visits next time.
Emily that cake is amazing!!!
I can't believe he is 7. He is getting so old. Happy Birthday Jackson!
These pictures are so cute Em! It seems like just yesterday he was born and I was an aunt for the first time! The cake turned out really good too! It's amazing. I know you say its not that hard, but I know I wouldn't be able to make it look nearly that good! Stop by my blog I posted a funny story that happened the other day! K, I love you sis, and your wonderful family too! Give them all hugs for me!
You made that cake??? that was awesome! You cease to amaze me! Time sure does fly! Jackson is so big. One more year until the big bday!
I am looking forward to you sharing your creativity with me on my blog!!! check it out and tell me what you think. It is a work in progress.
Happy Birthday Jackson! I can't believe how fast they grow up. And as a baby - OH MY HAIR! He's so stinking cute! I didn't know Jackson had such dark hair.
Wow! Happy Birthday Jackson! Great job on the cake and the party, Emily! I love all the pictures of Jackson--I'd forgotten how much hair he had as a baby. I wish we could have been there to celebrate, too! Love you guys!
