Father's Day.... Ruining it year after year.

Pretty much ever since Geoff and I have been married, Geoff has had to work on Father's Day. It has been less than special, and although I try... I am not very good at making the day all about him! (Sorry) So, last year Geoff finally wasn't working Sundays anymore and I had planned on making it a really great day. Well, while making a special Father's Day breakfast, Staci fell and bit her tongue half way off. (see pics from last June if you already forgot about this event!) I spent the entire day in the ER with her and needless to say, it was not a great day. SO - this year came around and I had decided it was going to be the year for the Father's Day Celebration. Well, this week we all got sick with stomach bugs (even Geoff) but are doing a little better now - except for Staci. She has been crying most of the time for several days and has not slept at all. I was a wreck all day having only received about 4 hours of sleep in the last 2 nights combined and NO sleep two nights before that. Anyway, I am rambling... I am tired. We were down in Mesa this weekend for a family get together and decided to come back to Pinetop this morning so we could try and get Staci back to "Normal" life - (we have been living here for a month while Geoff does and internship for pharmacy school, by the way). All the way home from Mesa (3 hours) she cried in the car and by the time we got her home we decided she was acting worse than ever and screaming that her stomach hurt! So, I took her to the ER this evening to make sure it wasn't appendicitis.... NOPE. It was just a virus that may last another few days. That being said - HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to my sweet husband and father of our sick and crazy and accident prone kids. I LOVE YOU! Also, to all the other Father's out there that I love (my Dad, Geoff's Dad, Grandpa B and Grandpa H) WE LOVE YOU, TOO! Next year I vow to not spend the day in the ER, forcing Geoff to fix himself a sandwich for his Father's Day Dinner! :) Wish me luck!
